Services

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of a minimum annual physical examination.  Wth your geriatric pet, older than 7 years, we stress the importance of a thorough pyhsical exam every 6 months.  Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems and often small changes in diet or supplementation can increase your pet's quality of life. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Surgical Services:  We offer a wide variety of surgical services from very minor to much more in depth.  We also have the capability to refer your pet to a board certified surgeon if the situation arises.

Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.  Even though there are always risks involved with anesthesia, we take every possible precaution to ensure your pet is taken care of properly.

Internal medicine consults: We offer in-hospital referrals to an internal medicine specialist who performs ultrasounds, endoscopic procedures and helps us with the diagnosis of more complicated cases.

Radiology Services:  Our on-site, digital X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.  Our equipment is the same that is used in human hospitals.  Digital technology makes radiology so much more convenient, it takes 30 seconds to process an x-ray instead of 10-15 minutes like it used to take.  This technology not only provides faster service, which gets you in and out faster, but provides better diagnostics for us to use to better help your pet.

Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.  Our equipment is the same that is used by human dental hygenists.  Your pet's dental health often has a direct correlation to its life span.  Dental health can be as simple as a change in diet or treats, to as extensive as a full teeth cleaning.  Call our office and schedule a simple exam so we can set up an appropriate plan to improve your pet's dental health.

Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.  This service provides quick and accurate diagnostics for so we can accurately and quickly diagnose your pet's problems.

Permanent identification: We offer ResQ microchip identification.  This provides a microchip that is inserted under your pet's skin that is a permanent marker for your pet, so if the unaccepted occurs and your pet is lost or stolen they can identified and sent back to you.  This procedure takes less than 2 minutes and is very similar to a vaccine.  The microchip and registration is with a national company that is good throughout your pet's entire life.
